From an innovative idea to a promising enterprise
Vinnof, the Flemish innovation fund, provides risk-bearing capital to innovative starters in Flanders.
Vinnof offers such entrepreneurs greater opportunities by investing from the start-up phase. Known as seed funding, this type of investment makes it easier for entrepreneurs to call on private capital in a next phase.
Vinnof does not subsidise. The fund invests seed capital in starting enterprises with the intention of obtaining a financial return. The investment generally takes the shape of a shareholding. Consequently, the envisaged return typically consists in capital gain.
The Vinnof investments are meant to be limited in time, and primarily take place during the start-up and initial growth phases.
